Bengaluru triple murder case: Woman, accused of murdering her parents & sister, says she is ready to confess in court

Shwetha M, a 24-year-old tech professional accused of murdering her parents and younger sister in east Bengaluru, has announced in an open court that she would confess to the June 22 crime and make a voluntary statement on the case.

Her live-in partner Kenneth, also accused in the case, was Friday remanded in police custody for 10 days.

According to Shwetha’s confession to police, Kenneth stabbed her mother, Muthulakshmi, while she was asleep on the sofa in his rented flat at Sai Green Apartment in Seegehalli, KR Pura.

Shwetha allegedly helped Kenneth move her mother’s body to the bedroom.

Unaware of the murder, Shwetha’s father, Somasundar, and her sister, Supriya, later arrived at the flat and were also attacked by Kenneth.

Somasundar managed to run outside but collapsed and later died in the hospital after briefly describing the assault. Her sister, Supriya was killed inside the flat.

After the murders, Shwetha and Kenneth allegedly fled Bengaluru on a two-wheeler and reached Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, where their vehicle broke down.

They then travelled to Puducherry, where they were arrested on separate dates within a week of the murders.
