A disturbance was reported at Netaji Bhawan Metro station after two women passengers, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, reportedly misbehaved with RPF personnel and became involved in a violent altercation.

According to reports, the incident escalated when the women allegedly confronted RPF personnel at the station. What began as an argument soon turned into a physical fight, creating a commotion inside the metro premises.

RPF personnel intervened to bring the situation under control. The two women were subsequently detained in connection with the incident and were reportedly fined ₹1,000 each.

The incident has once again raised concerns over passenger behaviour and the safety and discipline expected within Kolkata’s Metro network. Authorities have reiterated that unruly or aggressive behaviour on metro premises can invite legal or financial action.
