• Preliminary reports suggest that an argument broke out between the husband and wife at their residence on Saturday.

• During the altercation, the wife allegedly hit her husband on the head with a mobile phone, leaving him seriously injured.

• Despite the doctors’ best efforts, he could not be saved and was declared dead.

• According to a complaint filed by his father, Prafulla Kumar Mishra, Swapneswar and his wife, Anamika Satpathy, had a heated argument on June 21. During the altercation, Anamika allegedly threw a mobile phone at him, hitting him on the head and causing an injury that required stitches

• Prafulla also alleged that after the dispute, Anamika’s family took the couple’s young daughter away.

• He claimed that while undergoing treatment, Swapneswar repeatedly expressed his wish to see his daughter one last time, but she was not brought to meet him.

Police have registered an Unnatural Death case and said further action will be taken based on the post-mortem findings and the outcome of the investigation.
