A woman was arrested by the Bengaluru Police in connection with the killings of her husband as well as their five-year-old son over a family dispute in Chikkabanavara. According to investigators, she reportedly confessed to the murders when interrogated.

Harini had reportedly been asking her husband for a divorce and wanted to live with Vinay. The couple, who married in 2021, had allegedly been facing marital problems for several years and had been sleeping in separate rooms for around two years.

Police said Harini and Vinay met on Snapchat in December 2024 and later began a relationship. Abhinandan reportedly became suspicious that his wife was speaking to another man and had approached the police around 15 days before the murders to seek her call records. The couple had allegedly been arguing frequently over the issue.

According to investigators, Abhinandan, 38, and his son were watching Bigg Boss on television, while his wife, Harini, was allegedly planning the murders. 




On Sunday night, she called her bf to the house at around 11 PM. Police suspect that Harini and the accomplice deliberately switched off the CCTV cameras on the premises before committing the crime.

In her confession, Harini told investigators that Abhinandan was attacked on the head with a ladle and killed.
Their son Yaduveer, who reportedly witnessed the crime, was smothered with a pillow as she feared that he would reveal the truth.

According to the police, an attempt was made to disguise the murder of the five-year-old as an accidental death caused by suffocation while he was lying on top of his father.

The Police have initiated a manhunt for the alleged accomplice who remains at large, while also delving into his role and the deliberated disabling of the CCTV cameras.

At present, the Police are currently questioning Harini and recording her statement as the investigation proceeds.
