A woman named Rachna reportedly conspired with her lover, Sonu, to murder her husband, Sachin.

The perpetrators allegedly fed the victim sedative-laced kheer before strangling him to death.

Rachna was captured on CCTV at the crime scene, which helped police unravel the conspiracy to portray the death as natural.

Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Rai said that when police questioned Rachna, she kept saying her husband died from insecticide.

When she was pressed, she confessed to conspiring with her lover, Sonu, to commit the murder. Rachna said her lover brought her sedatives on Friday, which she mixed into kheer and fed to her husband.

After her husband fell asleep, she called her lover and killed him.
