A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Baddi in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district, where a woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her eight-year-old daughter after she repeatedly asked for food.




According to reports, the child’s father alleged that his wife had been beating the girl and denying her food. The child reportedly told her father that she was hungry and asked him to bring biscuits. When he went to a nearby shop, he was alerted by a vegetable vendor that his wife was beating the child.

The father rushed back and found his daughter unconscious on the floor. She was taken to the hospital, where she was declared dead.

Police registered a murder case based on the father’s complaint and arrested the accused woman. Preliminary investigations raised suspicions of death by suffocation, but the exact cause of death is subject to confirmation through the post-mortem report. The investigation is ongoing.

A little girl asking for food should never have to face such a fate. The incident has raised serious concerns about child safety and the protection of vulnerable children.
