Assam man murdered by wife and her alleged lover; severed head & torso found in a blue suitcase, other body parts found drain in Chennai

The severd torso of a 35-year-old Assam man, Ameer Ali, was found in an abandoned blue suitcase at Platform 4 of Chennai’s Perambur Railway Station on June 5 & other bdy parts were found scattered in a nearby drain.

On June 5, Railway Protection Force personnel found an abandoned suitcase at Perambur Railway Station. When they opened it, they found the decomposed torso of a man, later identified as Ameer Ali.

Initially, the only clue available was a pair of trousers found on the torso. Using the barcode on the garment, investigators traced it to a shop in T. Nagar and obtained the mobile phone number of the purchaser.

Inquiries revealed that the person frequented a cancer hospital in Teynampet. Police showed photographs of the suitcase to the hospital staff, and further inquiries revealed that a woman caregiver regularly brought patients to the hospital. Special teams also inspected the crime scene and collected evidence. 

His wife, Ruheema, and her associate, Asraf Ali, have been arrested for the premeditated murder.
On June 2, the accused mixed sedatives in Ali’s food, slit his throat after he lost consciousness, and dismembered the body in their Teynampet apartment.

His wife alleged that her husband was involved with other women & “assaulted her”, which caused her “mental distress”.

“MY HUSBAND TORTURED ME” HAS BECOME A VERY COMMON EXCUSE FOR WOMEN WHO MURDER THEIR HUSBANDS. Most women commit such crimes for their own benefits.
