Manish Gupta, 45, who was injured in an alleged knife attack by his wife in the Phulkhana police station area of ​​Kanpur, died 11 days later during the treatment.

The family alleges that the woman was talking on the phone with her alleged lover at the time of the incident and attacked him when he resisted.

According to family members, the deceased, Manish, had a love marriage with Niharika about nine years ago.

They have a six-year-old son. However, for the past three years, Niharika had been having an affair with a young man from Jammu. When Manish learned of this, he objected.

This led to frequent fights between the two. On the afternoon of June 5th, Niharika was talking to her boyfriend when Manish caught her, leading to a fight between them.

Niharika stabbed him several times in the stomach with a vegetable knife. Hearing the screams, family members arrived, finding Manish covered in blood.

According to father Ramkishore Gupta, daughter-in-law Niharika started talking to an man from Jammu on Facebook about 3 years ago.

After this, an affair started between the two & they started having long conversations on the phone. When Manish came to know about this, he protested. Niharika did not like Manish’s opposition. A fight broke out between the two on this issue.

The police have arrested the accused wife and sent her to judicial custody.
