Dehradun police arrested a 26-year-old woman named Malia Rehman and two accomplices for hiring contract killers to shoot her former boyfriend after he broke off their relationship and got engaged to someone else.




The main accused, Malia Rehman, stated that she and Kumar had a five-year relationship starting in Haridwar.

She alleged he betrayed her and cut off contact after getting engaged to another woman in February 2026.

Rehman allegedly offered a ₹5 lakh contract (supari) to killers through an accomplice named Mohit, paying an initial advance of ₹1.20 lakh.

Police arrested Malia Rehman, her accomplice Mohit, and shooter Ankit Chauhan, who was injured during a police encounter.

Three suspects are in custody while a search continues for a fourth fleeing suspect.
