Originally from Lakhimpur Kheri, 35-year-old Anshul lived here on rent with his wife, Nisha. They have a son and a daughter who live in the village.

The culprits behind Anshul’s murder have been identified as his wife and her lover, Pappu. Anshul had become aware of his wife and Pappu’s relationship. Since then, the woman and her lover had hatched a plan to eliminate Anshul.

On October 10, 2026, Anshul was shot dead with an illegal .315 bore pistol inside his rented room.

Following the shooting, Nisha staged a drama by wailing loudly to divert suspicion and shifted the blame to their landlord saying that he killed her husband over unpaid rent.

However, Ghaziabad police cracked the case within 12 hours of receiving the official complaint.

Anshul and Nisha had been married for 10 years after a love marriage. Nisha subsequently entered an illicit relationship with Pappu (who is also her brother-in-law). The duo conspired to eliminate Anshul to clear the path for their own marriage.
