Public outrage grows as a video of another female comedian, Shreeja Chaturvedi, joking about “molestation” resurfaces online.




In the video, she says, ” Do you know what’s worse than seeing a molester approaching you? Seeing a molester see you and take a U turn ! Saying ‘Yuck she has snot on her nose!”

The clip dates back to 2021, and what is even more surprising is that many people in the comment section were praising her for her “dark humour.




Time and again, we are told that jokes about sensitive issues are “just comedy” when certain people make them, while others face massive backlash, FIRs, career damage, and public condemnation for controversial jokes.

If sexual assault and molestation are serious issues—and they absolutely are—they should not be trivialized or selectively excused based on who is making the joke. Accountability and standards should be consistent, regardless of gender.
