A Class 10 student at a school in Telangana is hospitalised after allegedly being brutally assaulted by 12 fellow students inside a hostel.

The student, identified as Abhishek, was allegedly assaulted at night at Sri Chaitanya High School in Dammaiguda, under the Jawahar Nagar Police Station limits in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

According to a complaint filed by his parents, the students allegedly beat Abhishek with sticks and plates and stomped on his face with their boots.




Abhishek’s parents alleged that the school management initially contacted them by phone and told them that their son had fallen down the stairs and suffered injuries.

The family rushed to the school and took him home. However, when his condition worsened, they admitted him to a hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

His parents have sought strict action against the students allegedly involved in the assault as well as the school management, accusing it of trying to suppress the incident rather than reporting it.
