Monu and Komal had a love marriage eight years ago after overcoming initial resistance from their families. They lived in the Mauli Complex area with their six-year-old daughter.
The relationship deteriorated after Komal, who conducted home tuition classes, allegedly developed an intimate relationship with a student. Despite Monu’s repeated attempts to reconcile and save the marriage, she refused to end the relationship and moved back to her maternal home.
The victim’s family stated that a couple of weeks prior to the suicide, the alleged partner arrived at Monu’s home with a group of 15 to 20 youths, creating a major ruckus and openly threatening him.
Before taking his life, Monu recorded a deeply emotional video for his brother explaining his mental agony.
Investigators also recovered a personal diary with entries detailing public humiliation and distress over potentially losing permanent contact with his daughter.
