The incident occurred in Kuvempu Road in Pattandur Agrahara (Whitefield area), Bengaluru.

A woman and her male friend were drinking tea by the road and threw a used cup on the ground. The on-duty civic worker politely asked them to use a dustbin.

The woman reportedly started yelling, used abusive language, and tried to hit the worker with a stone.

Local residents recorded the argument on mobile phones. Whitefield police registered a case based on the worker’s complaint and detained the woman, identified as Vaidehi, alongside her friend.
