A shocking case has emerged from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Ashok Kumar, a former teacher from the city’s Balapatti locality, has been imprisoned in a room in his home for the past eight days.

He alleges that his wife tortures him. She often locks him in the room and leaves, and when she is home, she beats him.

The police arrived after neighbors informed them of the incident, but Ashok Kumar is so terrified of his wife that he vowed not to open the door until she arrived.




The victim, Ashok, is 60 years old. According to reports, he was married 34 years ago and has three children. He previously taught in private schools, but a few years ago, his eyesight deteriorated and he stopped teaching.

Ashok has made several serious allegations against his wife. He said that his wife, Babli, locks him in his room every day and sometimes beats him severely. He said that this abuse has caused him to lose his eyesight.

Ashok pleads that he be let out as soon as his wife arrives and sent to a safe old-age home.
