During a performance at Ramlila Maidan as part of a campaign to raise social awareness, Parmish Verma noticed a deeply distressing situation unfolding in the audience.
Security personnel had spotted a frightened, crying toddler near the ramp to the stage with no caregiver in sight and brought the youngster onto the stage for safety.
Noticing the distress, Parmish Verma immediately halted his concert.
After a woman came forward claiming to be the mother, it was discovered she had left the child unattended in the heavily packed crowd simply to take photos and record social media reels of the performance.
Th singer used his platform to publicly address the mother, pointing out how dangerous it was to treat a baby as a photo prop. He firmly questioned her actions and stressed that children should never be abandoned or brought into large crowds without strict supervision.
“Please have some mercy. A child is not a prop for a photoshoot. Don’t bring them into such huge crowds like this. Be a little wiser,” Parmish Verma urged from the stage.
Videos of the incident went viral, sparking fierce online debate across multiple social platforms.
