An Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel allegedly shot himself dead on 20th February, in Chanakyapuri.

The 33-year-old was identified as Yogeshwar Reddy, a resident of Bellary in Karnataka. Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, Deepak Yadav said that Yogeshwar was currently posted at Nehru Taramandal in Chanakyapuri. According to the DCP, the constable shot himself in the chest by his service weapon. He returned from leave on February 5th.

A suicide note was also found from his almirah. However, the cotent of the note has not been disclosed. โ€œThe reason apparently is related to marital discord,โ€ an officer said.
