Celebrated Singer and Congress leader, Sidhu Moose Wala (Subhadeep Singh Sidhu) was cremated at his ancestral village, Jawaharke, Moosa, amid heavy security deployment by the Punjab Police on May 31st.

After the cremation, Sidhu’s father took off his turban and held it out to the massive gathering around him as he remained anguished over the death of his only child.

Sidhu’s parents were inconsolable during the funeral procession.

Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 28 in district Mansa, Punjab by some unknown assailants after his security was curtailed by the state government. Multiple rounds were fired at his vehicle. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the murder, alleging Moosewala was involved in the murder of one of their gang member, but Police did not take any action against him.

He was shot dead while driving his vehicle in Mansa district on May 29, Sunday, a day after his security cover was scaled down.

The attack took place a day after his security was trimmed by the state government and the murder has led to a political storm, sparking massive outrage from fans and opposition leaders.

But the biggest question in this entire incident is that why did the government withdraw his security?
