On October 16th, the daughter of an assistant commissioner of police was arrested on Saturday, after a parking attendant allegedly suffered injuries from her car at a mall in Saket.
According to the police, the incident took place on October 16, around 9.35 pm. Police said the complainant, Ram Ashish Kumar, is a resident of Pilanji village, Sarojini Nagar. He was on duty and had just driven a car out of the mall’s basement to hand it over to a guest.
“As I alighted from the car, an i-20 car was coming from the same basement passed just next to me and injured both my feet. My colleagues rushed me to a hospital for treatment. I did not file the complaint earlier as I was waiting for my family members,” the complainant wrote in his complaint.
DCP South, Chandan Chowdhary, said, “He was taken to Max Hospital, where he is under treatment. On that day, he did not give any statement and after receiving his complaint, a case under 279 and 337 IPC sections was registered and investigation was taken up.”
