A deeply concerning viral video from Mukhani Chowk in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, has sparked widespread public outrage and intense online discussions regarding parental responsibility and substance abuse.

A woman, heavily under the influence of alcohol, was seen staggering, shouting, and completely unable to maintain her balance or stand upright on the busy road.

sitting right next to her on the roadside was her small toddler, who was sobbing and crying uncontrollably, visibly terrified by the situation.




At one point, a local elderly woman stepped forward to scold the mother and demand she take care of the child. However, the heavily intoxicated mother aggressively argued back with her and other bystanders.

Seeing the child’s distress, local passersby quickly stepped in to handle the situation. Onlookers comforted and lifted the crying child away from immediate danger, helped support the unstable woman, and managed to secure a cycle rickshaw to send them home safely.

The clip has drawn heavy condemnation from netizens calling for child safety interventions.
