Police in Andhra Pradesh’s Chittoor district arrested a 19-year-old woman named Hasini, her 20-year-old lover Yugandhar, and two accomplices for the brutal ambush and murder of her 23-year-old husband, Ramesh.
Hasini convinced her husband, a private firm employee from Tamil Nadu, to take her and their toddler daughter to the Sri Malleshwara Swamy Temple.
Hasini used her mobile phone to secretly text their real-time GPS location to Yugandhar.
Near a secluded area on the Hill Road, Hasini intentionally dropped her handbag from the moving motorcycle, forcing Ramesh to stop the vehicle.
When Ramesh stopped, Yugandhar and his hired accomplices rushed out from their hiding spot, chased Ramesh 100 meters into the forest, and hacked him to death with sharp weapons while the child was nearby.
The crime came to light after Hasini’s mother filed a complaint when her daughter and granddaughter failed to return home.
Surveillance cameras along the temple route disproved the narrative of robbery, showing Ramesh riding up with his wife, but Hasini later leaving the area on his motorcycle with two other men.
