A Chief Ticket Inspector in the Guntakal Railway Division was suspended after a video surfaced online showing her assaulting a passenger with a slipper.

As per some reports, the altercation, which occurred near the ticket counter, began when the passenger questioned her for watching reels.

The passenger did not retaliate and took a video of the employee. Passengers in the railway station also took videos of the assault.

The suspended official has been identified as K. Jyothi, who worked as a Chief Ticket Inspector in the Commercial Department.

Following the incident, the Principal Chief Commercial Manager of the South Coast Railway issued disciplinary orders on June 14, placing the employee under suspension while her duties and salary were halted.
