A 32-year-old man from Mumbai allegedly died by suicide as his wife and her family constantly harassed him and questioned his character. A case has been registered against the four, including his wife, at the Vimantal police station, Pune.

The deceased has been identified as Satish Ghodke. A case has been registered against Satish’s wife Shubhangi Ghodke, Vijay Mali Patil, Jayshreebai Mali Patil and Ganapatrao Mali Patil.

According to police, Satish and Shubhangi had been married for almost seven years. They had been arguing over petty issues as she used to doubt Satish’s character. She didn’t want him to stay in the village and asked him to stay in Pune and get a job.

Fed up with the constant harassment, Satish left Pune on February 27 and died by jumping in front of the train at Kurla railway station in Mumbai.

Based on the complaint filed by his father, Pune police have registered the case and further investigation is still going on.
