In a bizarre incident from Faridabad, a 22 year old boy was gang raped by 4 men on Friday night. The main accused, named Rakesh Sherawat who was a friend of the victim, was staying in an OYO hotel at Chimni Bai Chowk. Rakesh claimed that the OYO hotel was his friend’s.
According to the victim’s statement, the accused Rakesh called and asked him to come over to his room as he was having severe chest pain and wasn’t feeling well. Initially the victim denied as he was busy with some work but Rakesh pleaded him to visit him as his health condition was deteriorating. Hearing about his condition, the victim went to the hotel to visit him.
After about one hour, Rakesh offered him a cold drink. After consuming the drink, he felt dizzy and could move. Rakesh asked him to open his clothes to which he resisted . After that Rakesh forcefully undressed him and also called three more boys to his room. Soon after that he fell unconscious. In the morning when he woke up, he felt severe pain in his private parts. He tried to escape but couldn’t. Rakesh took the victim’s phone forcefully and dialled a family member’s number. It was the victim’s brother’s mother-in-law. Rakesh demanded ransom to release the victim.
After that, the victim, in order to escape, jumped off the balcony. There were few people standing besides a tea stall who saw the state of the victim and helped him with the address of the police station. He somehow reached the police station. But strangely, when he complained about the incident, the officer in charge didn’t register his complaint and blamed him for the incident. He was made to sit at the station for more than an hour.
After a few hours, police managed to arrest Rakesh Sherawat and both the victim and the accused were thrown behind the bars and weren’t ready to listen to the victim’s statement. After about 9 hours, police informed the victim’s family as his health was deteriorating. The victim’s family then came and took him to the hospital.
The victim and his family are demanding proper investigation and strict actions against all the accused.
