In a very recent case from Sonipat, an elderly mother-in-law has been beaten up by her daughter-in-law in Haryana.
This case belongs to Sandal Khurd village of the district. The elderly mother-in-law has alleged that her daughter-in-law had beaten her to death. According to the old woman, she was beaten for eating more than one roti (loaf of bread) brought by her son. A video of an old man being beaten has also surfaced, in which a woman is seen beating her mother-in-law.

So after the video went viral, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the old woman. Police have registered a case against the woman’s daughter-in-law Manisha, and Manisha’s mother and her brother on the woman’s complaint. But police hasn’t arrested them yet.

In her complaint to the SSP, the 75-year-old woman stated that her son Mukesh’s wife Manisha gives her two loaves to eat two times a day. His three-year-old grandson brought him another loaf of bread and gave it to him five days earlier. At the insistence of his grandson, she ate bread. The daughter-in-law has been beating her ever since. In the evening, when Mukesh shouted at his wife for assaulting his mother, Manisha once again beat her up and also fought with her husband.

The elderly woman, disturbed by the beating of his daughter-in-law, reached the SSP on Saturday with a complaint. It is alleged that the daughter-in-law got into a scuffle again when the son protested the beating of the elderly mother. She even got into a scuffle with her husband when he attempted to save her. The mother in law has requested the SSP for protection. The SSP has referred the entire case to the Mahila police station for investigation.
